I had this is a poem from the Sixth Dalai Lama added to my Om Mani Padme Hum tattoo after I suffered a great loss in my life, the poem reads:
In the short walk of this life
we had our share of joy
let us hope to meet again
in the youth of our next life
This poem means alot to me as I believe I have a deep karamatic connection to certain people that I share life after life with, it is a reminder that I will see them again, just not in this life, and hopefully we will meet in our youth so we may share many years together.
It was done by the amazing Silas Baker at Rock Steady Tattoo in Hampton VA

I would change the poem to read: In the short walk of this life we had our share of joy let us meet again in the youth...
Say what you will about him, I love the sixth Dalai Lama.
